Virtual Paralegal Associates of New York, LLC (VPANY) is owned and managed by Rebecca Cullen, who has over 35 years of experience in Trust & Estate Administration.

 

Rebecca first learned her love for law while serving in the U.S. Navy and getting her first taste of the judicial system with JAG work, while stationed in San Diego, California.  While in the service, Rebecca completed her work on a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration via National University.  Upon returning to her native State of New York, Rebecca sought out and obtained a Legal Secretary position with the Glens Falls law firm of LaPann, Reardon, Morris, FitzGerald & Firth, which later migrated her into the firm of FitzGerald Morris Baker Firth, P.C.  Rebecca spent nearly 17 years under the tutelage of past New York State Bar Association Trust & Estates Section President, and worked her way to the status of Paralegal. 

 

Before starting VPA•NY, Rebecca also worked for several years with the law firm of Bartlett, Pontiff, Stewart & Rhodes, P.C., where she earned her placement as Senior Paralegal for its Trust & Estates Section. 

 

Rebecca's vast experience in Trust & Estate law includes all aspects of Trust and Estate Administration, including probate, accounting, estate tax, fiduciary income tax, gift tax, tax planning, Trust funding, legal research, document drafting, and litigation.  Her experience also includes work pertaining to disclaimers, litigation, Medicaid, estate planning, etc.  Rebecca is a member of the Capital District Paralegal Association, Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, and of the National Association of Legal Assistants.
